Best of Botanics

Day 273: June 28, 2025 – Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

I’ve been to over 100 botanical gardens around the world; London’s Royal Botanic Garden was #1 on my list. But today it got eclipsed by the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. Multiple levels with thousands of plants bursting with color, dozens of fountains, all meticulously maintained. Easily the most magnificent garden I’ve seen.

What an amazing garden! Loved the lizard too.

  2. Love the landscape shot. Hope to go there some day.

    1. You would love it, Judy. Although I was a bit disappointed in the bird life, I only spotted a couple robins and juncos. But the flora more than made up for it.

Did you take all these, Basis? You should publish a book!

    1. Thanks Lisa. Yes, all the pictures I post on here are my own, unless I specifically give photo credit to someone else (usually that’s when someone takes a picture of me).
