Day 276: July 1, 2025 – Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Lucky for us, we happened to be in Canada on Canada Day, a national holiday that celebrates the 1867 enactment of the Constitution Act uniting three British colonies into a new country called Canada. Canada Place, where the Odyssey docked, was a sea of red and white, the national colors.

This gentleman, with his all-Canada gear, joins my Faces of the World gallery as the face of Canada.

In honor of the day, I started my day with a Canada Celebration donut at Tim Hortons.

This Canada-loving trio from Ukraine had the same idea about Tim Hortons.

Back on the ship, our chefs went all out to honor the Canadians amongst us. Each dish (or at least, its name) had a Canada connection. Classic Poutine. Maple Balsamic Green Salad. Canadian Split Pea Soup. Acadian Peppered Shrimp. Canadian Bacon and Mushroom Alfredo. And topped off with a maple leaf cake.

What a great celebration you have certainly encountered some momentous gatherings
Wonderful that you’re honoring the Canadians. They are so much more dear to us now that our government is playing dirty tricks on them.
