Back in April, I hosted a polka party on the Odyssey to celebrate my 70th birthday. I hired our two on-board dance instructors, Elise and Ivo, to teach us the basics of polka. They said they had never danced polka before, but would learn it. And learn it they did, giving me one of my funnest birthdays ever.
This wonderful duo has since left the Odyssey (entertainers rotate every few months) and resurfaced as the Golden Buzzer winners on Bulgaria’s Got Talent! (A Golden Buzzer means they are an outstanding talent that can proceed directly to the live shows). No, they didn’t dance the polka for their winning performance; it was a sizzling number at the opposite end of the dance spectrum. Watch it here:

I love it that I can claim I once danced with a Golden Buzzer winner, and that I knew them before they were famous!

How very cool !!!!!!!!!!!!
True
How exciting for them, and such a sensual and beautiful routine! You’ll have to share how they do at the finals!
I’ll keep you informed!
That’s a cruise bonus if ever I’ve seen one. Great fun
Indeed it is.
How about you invite them back to teach you this dance for your 71st?
Oh my gosh, that would be wild. But I’m afraid it would take me an entire year to learn that routine, not to mention get a whole new body!
On board dance instructors? What a welcome addition to your energy level. They are amazing. I loved that video – and I’m thrilled that you had such a wonderful birthday! You, more than anyone, know how to celebrate life!!
Thanks Chris. There is lots of dancing going on here, though I mostly enjoy watching than participating.
