Beautiful Ba Ho

Day 689 – August 15, 2026 – Nha Trang, Vietnam

Ba Ho is a beautiful nature area in southern Vietnam. It is one of the most thoughtfully designed parks I’ve seen. Everywhere, there are photogenic bursts of color, scenic nooks & crannies to explore, helpful signs and lots of shady rest stops.

One disappointment: I was SO excited about this SkyBike and couldn’t wait to try it out. It’s essentially a bicycle zipline, where you ride a bike in the air on a thin track, harnessed to a cable system. Only to find out that they wouldn’t let us seniors on, because 55 is the upper age limit! Bah humbug!

And then they rub it in with this sign. You may be never too old to play outside, but you’re too old to do a SkyBike? That’s just not right. 😡

55 is too old to do stuff? I think I just crossed Vietnam off my list.
