Day 723: September 18, 2026 – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Almost 2 years into our journey, the Odyssey arrived at our 200th port: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

200 ports later and it still never gets old. The rush of curiosity I feel when I set foot in a place I’ve never been before. Imagining what will be different, what will be the same. Eagerly anticipating new faces, new experiences, new birds, new languages. I’m a kid in a candy store, wondering what will make me smile or stop me dead in my tracks in awe.

Looking forward to the next 100 (tentatively scheduled for a year from now in Greece).

In 1975, following the Vietnam War, the city changed its name from Saigon to Ho Chi Minh City, but the previous name is still widely used.
