    Wow! So many beautiful birds!

  3. How do you manage to identify all these new birds? Great photos, as always. I love all the members of a corvid family.

    1. Do you mean how I find them, or how I figure out what they are? If I can get a picture, identifying them is the easy part — Merlin ID does it for me. As far as finding them, I’m proud that I found all of these on my own, without a guide or a group. I’ve gotten pretty good at spotting them. There were a few others that I saw, but couldn’t get a picture, so I don’t include those on my life list.

What an adrenaline high you must be on, seeing all these species! Your photos are excellent, as always. You should consider a book incorporating your travels and birding. 🙂

  5. Beautiful photos! Heart warming. Thank you for sharing and for your diligent labelling which was really helpful.

    1. So glad to hear you enjoyed them!

On a sad note from home, June passed away Monday evening.

    1. He’s one of my favorites too. Thanks for letting me know about June – I’m so sorry.

Looks like you are enjoying having some spare time to “catch up” during the Atlantic crossing. Wow! Birds, birds, and birds.

    1. Yes, this week has been catch-up time. But it’s almost over, and I STILL don’t feel caught up.

How many of these birds did you see?

Every time I try to log in to like your post, WP seems to want more proof. Is there an easier way to read and “like” or comment upon your posts?

    How was the ocean crossing?

    1. Every single one of them! I only post pictures that I take myself. Sorry about the WP hassle, I’m not happy about it constantly requiring proof either, but if I turn that off I’ll get inundated with spam comments. Does it give you the option to remember your login? It should be doing that. The crossing is not bad at all, no seasickness for me so far.

I was surprised to read this. I never get hassled by WP. But more on topic … I’m not really a bird aficionado but this was a really beautiful and fascinating collection of birds!

        1. Thanks Ron, glad you enjoyed it.
