I’ve been to over a dozen butterfly gardens around the world, and they never fail to put a smile on my face. This one in Key West had the added bonus of colorful exotic birds.
Ha ha ha, yes I had momentarily forgotten my favorite conspiracy theory!

Your finch caught my eye. It looked liked a leucistic Java Sparrow to me. Researched and Java Sparrows are aka Java Finches. There are 13 color mutations of rare Javas. You may have been fortunate enough to see a rare “Pastel” or “Ivory” mutation!
The Red-legged Honeycreeper is such a gorgeous, electric blue!
What a relaxing day for you!

I was having trouble identifying the finch. Thanks for the clarification. I figured some serious birders would be able to shed some light! That electric blue of the honeycreeper definitely caught my eye.

Isn’t he gorgeous!
These photos are spectacular, Basia!! I just love the Gouldian Finch!!
He’s gorgeous, isn’t he. Almost didn’t look real, like someone had done a paint-by-number on him.
Well, as we all know, birds aren’t real. But the ones in your photos are gorgeous!
