Day 438: December 12, 2025 – At Sea
You would think if you’ve seen one cruise ship cabin, you’ve seen them all, but not on the Odyssey. Residents are allowed to customize their cabins (or villas, as they are called here), and some go all-out with their decor. Yesterday we had another cabin crawl, which is kind of like a bar crawl for cabins. Those who want to share their cabins host the rest of us who want to check out cabins for ideas. It was amazing how different every cabin looked. Here are a few examples (posted with permission from their owners).

My cabin is pretty basic, I haven’t done much with it, so mine wasn’t open for cabin-crawling. Maybe next year!

Wow! Is Melody’s kitchen a self-upgraded “villa” or did it come that way? It must be huge.
It was actually multiple cabins that were merged and completely renovated by Melody and her husband. It’s the largest suite on the ship. The kitchen isn’t actually a kitchen though (we’re not allowed to cook in our cabins), it’s more like a fully stocked bar with lots of munchies.
That suite balcony is just calling my psyche for a “fresh air” power nap! 🙂
Mine too!
VERY creative shipmates, Basia! ♥️
They are. And I can imagine what your creativity, Jane Anne, would be like here!
Wow, those are some VERY nicely designed and decorated villas. My favorite is the one with the faux windows open wide to show a beautiful, deserted beach/waterfront scene, but all of them are great! It’s so nice that folks who own their villa are able to change whatever they like to make it look like their own idea of “home”. 🙂
Loved the day bed on balcony also and the hammock too. Cool
Yes. I could spend endless hours lounging there.
Wow, that was interesting. Thanks for taking us along on the crawl!
Ready to come join us, Ron?
That is pretty cool!!!!!!!!!! I enjoyed hte creativity of everyone’s decor,
Me too. I always look forward to the cabin crawls.
So small, yet inviting. Thanks to everyone for sharing their homes.
It’s really remarkable how spacious some of the cabins feel.
