Day 27: October 29, 2024 – Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands



The imposing Tenerife Auditorium (Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín) towers over Santa Cruz in the Canary Islands. It is used as a congress and concert hall and is home to Tenerife’s symphony orchestra.

Sheltering the auditorium from the Atlantic waves are hundreds of stone blocks, which have been transformed into an outdoor art gallery by Bulgarian artist Stoyko Gagamov. Each stone has a painting of a well-known musician. A total of 100 performers are depicted.

Not far from our pier was this touching memorial to two young sisters, Olivia and Anna, who were murdered in Tenerife in 2021.
