Day 346: September 9, 2025 – Naha, Japan
The Fukushuen Garden in Naha, Japan has a wonderful collection of plants, but even more impressive architecture and landscaping. Around every corner there were clickable moments: pagodas, bamboo forests, bridges, colorful lanterns, ponds. Artfully placed windows framed the greenery and exquisite architecture. The traditional Chinese garden design honors Japan’s relationship with its sister city in China.

Throughout the garden, the walkway was made of intricate stone carvings and pebble art.

So harmonious and uplifting.
It definitely was. And especially welcome in the 90-degree heat.
