Days 7-8: Oct 9-10, 2024 – Gijón, Spain
Our official itinerary called for a stop in Porto, Portugal. But cyclone Kirk was heading this way, and heavy rain, strong winds, and rough seas were predicted. Our captain Zeljko decided to re-route us away from the eye of the storm, and we spent the night in Gijón instead. A few scenes from the town of Gijón.

Next stop: Lisbon, Portugal.

The Cider Tree! 💚
After being in Paris last week, I think going forward I only want to visit places I’ve never heard of. Gijon looks like a nice place that fulfills that criterion!
It definitely does.
A thank you to Captain Zeljko, for keeping the residents safe!
Speaking of lists, future places to visit, such as Porto, Portugal. 🙂
Yes, Porto has been added to the list.
Safe travels!!!
Thanks Debbie.
