Just west of Macedonia’s capital city Skopje is a beautiful area known as Matka Canyon. Matka is Macedonian for womb (and Polish for mother, same concept!)
A short boat ride in a rainbow-colored boat took us to Vrelo Cave, thought to be the world’s deepest underwater cave, with its stalactites, including the one below known as the pine cone.

Wow…Amazing! What an adventure! Thanks for sharing your unexpected journey. Where will you go next???
After this, it was on to Kosovo. Then back to the U.S. for a short while, before setting off on an Antarctica cruise.
So beautiful! How do you find all these wonderful places?
Exactly my thought…!
My tour guide recommended this place. But sometimes they just seem to find me.
