Day 10: October 12, 2024 – Lisbon, Portugal

What a lovely city Lisbon is! Grand architecture, colorful houses, wide boulevards, a riverwalk that goes for miles. A city I hope to return to someday.

Your experience of Lisbon is so different than ours only 2 weeks ago. I’m very happy for you!!! We had rain every day and couldn’t even see the riverbanks. My jeans wont come clean from the dirty water on the streets. So many tourists descend on this city and their infrastructure can’t handle it. Strikes closed several of the museums. By car, you must allow an hour extra at the to get to your terminal due to the traffic at the airport going about 2 mph. Sintra was about 2 hours drive but the effort. I hope you were able to go there. What an enchanted place – and a photographer’s dream.

    1. Oh no! That’s too bad. Yeah we had pretty good weather, mostly sunny. And the joy of being on a cruise is you never have to deal with airports!

  2. Unique

    Beautiful!
And based only on what I see online, it seems some Americans are looking to move to Portugal and make their home there. Just beautiful. Happy strolling.

    1. Yes, that thought crossed my mind several times as I was strolling. It seems to be expatriate favorite.

      1. The city of Hills you certainly are getting around. It must feel so good.
