Day 360: September 23, 2025 – Subic Bay, Philippines
When I’m not chasing birds, I’m chasing Dunkin’. And Philippines delivered. The weather outside was frightful: rain and wind from the tail end of the typhoon. Not a good day for birding. But a perfect day for cozying up at a Dunkin’.

Many of my shipmates are aware of my Dunkin’ obsession and have started alerting me to Dunkin’ sightings. I started getting pinged as soon as the first group got off the shuttle bus (which took us from the ship into the town center).
Most frequently asked question: what is my favorite Dunkin? Back in my land life, it was French Cruller, buttermilk and sour cream. Those are hard to come by abroad, so I usually go with Bavarian Cream (NOT to be confused with Boston Kreme!) and glazed. Now you know…

I was wondering about the French cruller that I tried to find for you…happy that you adjusted to international tastes! I am smiling at your predictability!
