Day 351: September 13, 2025 – Hualien, Taiwan



The Dongdamen Night Market in Hualien, Taiwan is equal parts carnival, food fest, garage sale, and party. It opens at 6 PM and runs until midnight. Hundreds of stalls sell everything you could possibly need. Squid and octopus were two popular items on the menu.

    Yum! Stinky tofu! Mine is “preserved tofu” but I think it’s the same thing, and not quite as stinky. Granted, I don’t get mine off the street…
