- Cook
- Wash dishes
- Grocery shop
- Clean house
- Laundry
- Take out the trash
- Drive
- Mow the lawn
- Rake leaves
- Shovel snow
- Worry whether this will be the year I’ll have to replace my furnace/roof/water heater
Whatever will I do with all that free time? (Lounging around in Costa Rica, 2014)
Expenses I won’t have:
- Food & Drink
- Internet
- Utilities (gas/electric/water)
- Trash pick-up
- Property taxes
- House insurance
- Car insurance
- Gas
- Car maintenance
Expenses I’ll have that I didn’t have before:
- Shore excursions – this will be my biggest expense, since I already know I’ll want to see everything everywhere
- Storage unit – for all that stuff I can’t bear to part with

If only I could unload a few of those chores & expenses. I’m so jealous!
Sounds good to me!
Play your own kinda music!

Oh my gosh Kate, that’s hysterical. I’ll add that to my list of things to do on this trip… 🙂
I am so proud of you, Basia. Your rewards will be immeasurable! Build that life bird list…among so many other firsts!
Thanks Elaine. I still remember that conversation in the car on our birding trip, when this cruise was just a twinkle in my eye. And my fellow birders encouraging me to just do it!
Your list of “won’ts” is far longer than the list of wills so I say that’s a good deal.
I agree, Tereska!
