It has been brought to my attention that in omitting the tilde in my Spanish vocabulary list (using ano instead of año) I’ve been asking people “how many anuses do you have” instead of “how many years do you have.” That explains a lot about the bewildering looks. Hopefully, my spoken word was better than my written word. Perhaps I’m not ready to call myself trilingual just yet…
