My hotel room in the Canary Islands, Sol Arona Tenerife, has a sweeping view of the ocean. I can almost pretend we’re sailing! Meals are all-you-can-eat buffets with too many choices, including the best taco spread I’ve ever had. I can watch the nightly entertainment (belly dancers, musicians, singers) from my balcony. At night the city is a spread of twinkling lights.
It’s not a bad place to hang out for a while.

Thanks for the nice words, Debbie. I’m hoping Andrea (and maybe you?) will join us on future segments?
You seem to be in the very touristy part of Tenerife; have you been to El Teide yet?
And have they said when (if) you’re likely to sail? Three dates seem to have been missed so far.
Regards.
Yes, I have. Beautiful scenery. Planned sail date is June 25th. Yeah, we’re hoping this will be the real date!
Thank you.
