We’ve had many disagreements onboard, but one of the few things we mostly agree on, is that we are well fed. There has been a good variety of food, and plenty of it. The only complaint I’ve heard so far is that some consider the food too salty. I hadn’t noticed that, but I don’t eat the meat dishes, so that may be where the salt is hiding.
For us vegetarians, the variety of veggie dishes has been a pleasant surprise. I would never prepare 10 different veggies for a meal for myself at home, so I’m eating far more veggies here. My only challenge has been getting more non-meat protein. I’m continuing to lobby for some basic veggie burgers on days when we have outdoor cookouts. Other than that, my only complaint is the 15 pounds I’ve put on. Here is a gallery of our meals.
My favorite breakfast item: fruit smoothies, a different kind each day (strawberry, pear, mixed fruit, banana, etc.)
For the non-vegetarians among us, the carving station has an entire zoo to choose from — we’ve had whole pigs, lambs, chickens, and catch-of-the-day fish.
