Day 525: March 9, 2026 – Somewhere in the Tasman Sea, between NZ and Australia

I love it when I don’t even have to leave home, to add a lifer to my bird list. I was eating breakfast in the ship cafe on a sea day when I noticed albatrosses swirling around us. I already had several albatross species on my life list, but this was a new one: White-capped Albatross. And just like that, another bird landed on my life list!
