Day 708: September 3, 2026 – Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Our cruise to Ha Long Bay included a Vietnamese lunch, rich in seafood and a stringy green vegetable that looked like spaghetti.

It prompted Eddie and me to try to recreate the iconic spaghetti scene from “Lady and the Tramp.” (I had never seen the movie, so Eddie had to educate me on it.)

Ok, it wasn’t actually spaghetti, it was a green vegetable which I later learned was called Vietnamese morning glory, also known as water spinach or swamp cabbage. (No relation to the flower.) But close enough. And yes, I know we need a little practice to match the original:
